Rupley Welcomes New Principal Ms. Diana O'Donnell for 17 - 18 School Year
CCSD59 is pleased to announce the hiring of Diana O’Donnell as Rupley’s new principal for the 2017-18 school year. She replaces Dr. Thomas Seaton, who will be exiting CCSD59 at the end of the 2016 – 2017 school year to pursue his next big job – retirement. Ms. O’Donnell’s principal assignment will officially begin on July 1, 2017.
Ms.O’Donnell comes from Community Consolidated School District 21 where she currently serves as principal at Kilmer Elementary School in Buffalo Grove. Prior to her current role, she was an Assistant Principal at Jack London Middle School and an instructional leader throughout the CCSD21 community, supporting teachers in the areas of authentic learning and inclusionary practices. She has also supported school districts in implementing responsive classroom and developmental designs for middle school, including coaching and mentoring teachers on improving their instruction through a more comprehensive understanding of the impacts of social emotional learning. Ms. O’Donnell has been an educator for seventeen years, serving as both a teacher and administrator.
Ms. O’Donnell holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from the University of Illinois – Champaign-Urbana, a Master’s degree in Education Administration from Illinois State University.
It is our great pleasure to welcome Ms. O’Donnell to the CCSD59 administrative team and the Rupley community. We also wish to thank Dr. Seaton for his many years of exceptional service to our CCSD59 students and families, and we wish him well in this well-earned next chapter of his life.
